First off, no worries! It’s totally normal, and honestly, it’s part of the fun. Before I dove into photography, I spent four years as an elementary school teacher, so working with little ones (and their quirks) is my jam. My whole approach is about building trust and connection, and I love the challenge that comes with it. I’m all about creating a fun space where kids can just be themselves, have fun, and not feel any pressure to pose. Every kiddo is different, and I’ve got some awesome tips and tricks that I’ll send over in the Family Welcome Guide once you book, pay the deposit, and send the contract back to me. Honestly, working with kiddos is such a blessing, and I’m all in for becoming their little bestie during the session. When it comes to picking a location, I want to choose a spot that’s meaningful to your family—a place that helps tell your unique story. If you love bowling, why not capture the fun at a bowling alley? Or, if your family thrives at the beach, splashing in the waves, we can make that the backdrop. If you’re all about boating, we can set sail and have a session on the water. And if bike rides are your thing, let’s grab the bikes, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles, and make memories right on your front porch or driveway. Anything that makes your family *you*—that’s where I want to capture your story. Of course, I also have some tried-and-true spots I adore, like beautiful fields, beaches, parks, and even rooftops that I've shot on time and time again. I’m always excited to recommend locations that I know will make your session feel relaxed, personal, and just right for your family!

I always recommend keeping it simple and comfortable, with neutral tones that create a timeless feel. Avoiding busy patterns helps keep things natural, and I love the idea of coordinating, not matching! To make sure everything feels just right, I jump on a dream call with you to create a vision and mood board for your session. We’ll work together to make it exactly how you’ve been dreaming of! And if you want some extra help with styling, I work alongside an incredible stylist who you can book to help style your family. She’s the BEST! If you'd rather put something together on your own, no worries—I’m more than happy to take a peek at your choices and give you input. Weather can be unpredictable, but I always have a backup plan! If we’re planning an outdoor session and it’s looking like rain, I’ll be in touch to reschedule or suggest an indoor location that will still give us beautiful photos. The goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and stress-free, rain or shine.

Life happens, and I totally get it. If your little one is sick or something unexpected comes up, we can always reschedule. I want to make sure your session is stress-free and enjoyable, so we’ll find a new time that works for you.

I know you’ll be excited to see your images! I aim to have your gallery ready within 3-4 weeks after our session. Once it’s ready, you’ll get a link to view and save your photos, and you get a $50 print credit as well!
